2 Corinthians 5:20-6:2
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Marks of the Ministry
6 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says:
“In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
Context
- How is every believer an ambassador? (John 15:16, 1 Timothy 1:12, 2 Timothy 1:9-11)
Reflection
- How was Christ made sin ‘for us’, without becoming sinful? (Isaiah 53:9, 10, Hebrews 1:9, 4:15, 7:26, 1 Peter 1:18, 19, 2:22, 1 John 3:5)
- How are you ‘reconciled to God’? (Romans 5:6-11, 10:9, 10, James 4:6-10)
- What is the great exchange? (Isaiah 53:5, Romans 3:24-26, 8:3, Galatians 3:13, Hebrews 2:9, 1 Peter 2:24, 3:18)
- Why the urgency of ‘now’? (Deuteronomy 30:15, 19, Josh 24:15, 1 Kings 18:21, Mark 10:21, James 4:19)
Testimony Time
- How are you ‘imploring’ others to be ‘reconciled to God?’ Why Now? (Isaiah 49:8, Colossians 1:24, James 5:19, 20, Ephesians 6:15, Hebrews 9:27, James 4:15, 1 Peter 3:15, Jude 23)
