1 Corinthians 15:1-8
The Risen Christ, Faith’s Reality
15 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,
5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.
7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
Context

(Isaiah 53:9, Luke 23:50-56, Matthew 27:57-60, Mark 15:42-46, John 19:38-42, Romans 6:4) - How is ‘according to the scriptures’ so critical to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus? (Psalm 16:10-12, 73:24, Matthew 5:17, 18)
- What’s so important about all the eyewitnesses? (Matthew 28:16, 17, Luke 24:34, Acts 1:9, 22, 2:32, 3:15, 5:32)
Testimony Time
- How ‘Paramount’ is the gospel to my daily life?
- How am I sharing it? (Luke 5:10, John 20:21, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20)
